We Shan't Be Naming the Baby Oscar Mayer

No siree, there was no wiener in sight at the ultrasound today! The technician told us that she is almost positive that we're having a girl, as she got an up close and personal look at our baby's privates!! We are so thrilled. Everything looks great and our little girl was moving and shaking around in the womb like crazy. It was a relief to see that there was so much movement, and that things are formed so perfectly already. It blew me away to see her tiny spine, fingers, heart, kidneys, feet, and her mouth opening and closing. A miracle on all fronts.
We have a tonne of photos of our baby, but I don't have time to scan them right now. Stay tuned for blurry shots of body parts that are difficult to recognize.
I suppose that now the name war truly begins. I spent the entire ride home defending the name Anneliese and how if Steve really loved me he would let me give our baby that beloved name. He seems to think that we should choose a name that we're both happy with. Oh, Steve, and his fandangled ideas!
Time shall tell...

Shoot! I can't believe I was so late on the announcement -- I checked your blog 10 times today to see what was up, but for some reason had to push ~refresh~ to get the announcement! Yay! A girl!! You can dress her in such pretty pink things -- maybe even a pink sweater vest.

Congrats you two!
I think it's so cute that Steve thinks you should pick a name that you both love, as Robin and I both love alot of the same names, but it seems now that it's getting closer to meeting our little Baby Bean it seems like we are sorta changing our minds more. Silly us.
Hope your night is full of wonderful Baby dreams!

I'm VERY excited for you guys. And hey! Jon didn't like the name Brielle all that much but he let me have it anyways, and now he agree's that it suits her. So there's hope...maybe Steve will come around.

Hi Amanda.

Congratulations to you both. I checked your blog briefly on Saturday night & read the announcement. No time to write just then. It's too bad I thought you were having a boy but i am very happy that you're having a girl. So special. Kevin liked the oscar meyer part. Good job. How does it feel now that you know?

About the name:

1) If the mom AND the dad aren't crazy about it, then it just ain't right. It's a beatuiful name, though.

2) You should go out on your porch and yell any prospective names at the top of your lungs. Only choose a name that you feel good yelling.

3) Way to go! Hooray! Girls are great!
